Eloisa James’ Desperate Duchesses Series
If you loved Bridgerton, you’ll love Eloisa’s Desperate Duchesses, a historical romance series set in Regency-era England. Filled with passion, intrigue, and societal complexities, the series follows the lives and romances of several powerful and independent women, all of whom happen to be Duchesses.
In the first book, Desperate Duchesses, we are introduced to a group of Duchesses who navigate the intricate world of London’s high society. The series continues with each book focusing on a different duchess and her romantic adventures.
From unexpected love affairs and secret trysts to scandalous encounters and unexpected alliances, the duchesses of this series prove that they are more than just figureheads in the aristocracy. They are strong, intelligent, and fiercely independent women who are not afraid to follow their hearts.
There are nine books in this series and here they are in the order of publication.

Mary Balogh’s Huxtable Quintet Series
If you’re a Bridgerton fan but haven’t yet read anything by Mary Balogh, let me be the one to introduce you. Mary Balogh was actually born Mary Jenkins in post-war Wales. She writes fabulous romance novels!

Vanessa, the second daughter is a proud and daring young widow who has her own reason for pursuing the most eligible bachelor in London. And it really doesn’t have anything to do with love. Sabrina Jeffries’ Designing Debutantes series couldn’t be more tailor-made for all of us Bridgerton fans. In this series, we meet a trio of remarkable young women, the talk-of-the-ton, who have chosen a different path than the traditional roles of governesses. Instead, they channel their talents for fashion, culinary arts, and music into a thriving party-planning venture called Elegant Occasions.
