Summary of The Wedding Planner by Danielle Steel

Faith Ferguson reigns as New York’s ultimate go-to wedding planner, known for her exclusive, elegant affairs and lavish ceremonies. With an innate appreciation for both the understated elegance of simple unions and the dazzling grandeur of extravagant events, Faith firmly believes that the true essence of a dream wedding transcends monetary extravagance.

While Faith revels in the realm of matrimonial orchestrations, her own personal experiences of two failed engagements extinguish any lingering desire to walk down the aisle herself. Contentment blossoms in her profound bond with her twin sister, Hope, her role as a mentor to the ambitious Violet, and the fulfillment she derives from her thriving career.

This year, an influx of new clients seeks Faith’s unrivaled expertise, prompting her to undertake the orchestration of an extravagant reception, a mid-sized gathering, and an intimate soirée. In addition, she organizes her mother’s upcoming nuptials and orchestrates Violet’s modest yet meaningful ceremony. As Faith delves into the lives of her clients and their loved ones, she unexpectedly forms a profound connection with the dashing brother of one of her grooms.

However, weddings are seldom devoid of unforeseen challenges, and soon Faith finds herself grappling with hidden disputes, unexpected pregnancies, familial scandals, dark secrets, and the looming possibility of canceled ceremonies. In the midst of these trials, Faith embarks on her own personal journey, ultimately proving that the pursuit of happily ever after encompasses countless paths to joy and authenticity.

Within the pages of “The Wedding Planner,” Danielle Steel weaves an enchanting narrative that traverses the winding road to love and celebrates the myriad ways one can discover profound happiness while remaining true to oneself.

My Review Of The Wedding Planner by Danielle Steel

Danielle Steel continues to captivate me. I have read every single one of her books, and I keep thinking that eventually, she will sort of fizzle out in terms of cranking out books that I will actually enjoy.

And lo and behold, this author keeps surprising me, because once again I can’t wait until the next book.

The Wedding Planner by Danielle Steel – What I Liked

From the very first page of this book, I found myself irresistibly drawn into the story, eagerly devouring each subsequent chapter as the drama unfolded and sometimes love sparkled.

I loved the main character, Faith. She portrays a strong, independent woman which is common in many of Danielle Steel’s novels. I did like all the characters really, except for a few of the “bad guys” who had necessary roles in the backstory so they had to be there.

For those who relish stories with a central character deeply intertwined in the lives of others while subtly living her own, this book comes highly recommended. There was a bit of everything – from gripping drama to scandalous twists, and finally, a satisfying happily ever after that left me grinning from ear to ear.

The Wedding Planner – What I Disliked

Nothing. There wasn’t a single thing that I didn’t love about this book.
